GS '2 1

It has been an intense year for us so far: from a little idea to a sold-out 650km-long event was a real adventure! Now the good weather is kicking in (finally, yes!) and Covid-restrictions are getting scaled back; what better way to celebrate this than hosting a meet-and-greet gravel ride and meet some like-minded people?

What do we have in mind ?

- A 85 km social ride with team Grelly as your guide. Do you have questions regarding our bikepacking event, are you curious to see who we are and what kind of events we might organise in the future, … ? Well, … this option will be the best way to meet and have a chat. Depending on the amount of participants and the differences in speed, we can split the group at the start or along the way. We are flexible !

- A 135 km track that will be ridden in a self-supportive manner: Gather your friends, have a coffee at the start, lubricate your chain, inflate (or deflate for some) your tyres and off you go! Enjoy the ride and let’s meet after the finish with some drinks.

What kind of bike to bring ?

Both tracks will go south from the start/finish in Bierbeek and will have a mixture of terrain to deal with: gravel, tarmac, single tracks, some rougher surface, cobbles, you name it.  Don’t expect only the super-smooth surfaces like you can find them in the Zonienwoud or the High fens; a cyclocross bike might be on the limit but a gravel bike with at least 40mm tyres would be perfect. Mountainbikes are welcome as well, of course.  Expect an elevation gain around 1000m for the short and 1800m for the longer track. Both tracks are still under construction, exact numbers will follow later on.
