After a succesfull try-out edition in 2023, we decided to organize a 2nd edition: 'Trelly For Real'.  As we look forward ourselves to explore new areas, this edition will not anymore take place in the Viroinval-region but we will try our luck in eastern part of Luxemburg and cross the border with Germany. The 3rd weekend of June, the more adventuruos (trail-)runners amongst us are welcome to join us in the area of Echternach. Off-road, endurance, challenge, social, self-supported, fun, ... are keywords that are applicable to all our events but this time we leave the bike home and put our running shoes on!

What is it?

Trelly is a multi-stage trail run adventure with a social twist. Over the course of 3 days you will cover a total distance of 100 km up to 100 miles. We will provide 2 or 3 options daily and after a group start, it will be up to you to pick your pace and be smart regarding your own supplies as we promote the Trelly as a self-supported event.

Is it a race ? Not really … Is it a challenge? Yes, sure!

Start: June 14th, 2024 - ~9 a.m.

Finish: June 16th, 2024 - ~3:00/4:00 p.m.

Start / Finish location: Area of Luxemburg (Vianden / Ettelbruck/ ...) (to be defined).

Day distances will vary between 30 & 60 km/day, to reach a total of ~100 to 160 km after 3 days.

Limited # Spots: with a small group, there is more flexibility, more social interaction, ... and we like that! We aim for around 20 participants.

Place to be ?

The Mullerthal region! The course writhes its way south of the Sauer along beautifull rock formations towards Echternach and crossing the border with Germany. 

For logistic reasons, we opted for a single location for the 2 nights which means: 2 tracks in line and the 2nd day a loop in the area. This makes the mornings and evenings a bit more relaxed. We have chosen a glamping area which gives the possibility to choose between a wooden summer hut (1-2p)  and a cosy wooden bungalow’-option for a bit enhanced comfort (2-4p).

What about breakfast and dinner? We’ll make that work, no worries !

The Course

In good tradition, the final tracks will only be shared a week prior the event. At this point they are still on the drawing table but expect something in the range of up to 1750m+ for 60km tracks. Once we have more detailed info, we surely update the page.

Although this might look over the limit, take in mind that there is no rush, and you have the whole day ahead of you to cover your desired distance. Also, you can choose the distance on the day itself: it’s perfectly fine to do (for example, depending on the final tracks) 60/35/40 kms or 35/45/30 or even skip the 2nd day and join the organisers and cheer for the other participants.

Budget for the weekend

AsThe Final cost will depend on the occupancy of the tiny houses or the cozy cabins but you can use the below prices as reference.

• Option 1: 140-170 € pp in a Cozy natural cabin (Summer hut) (for 1 or 2 persons)

• Option 2: 170-200 € pp in a Tiny house (bungalow) (for 2 tot 4 persons)
