The Route

Belgium is often an undervalued country/region when it comes to cycling. While it is famous for its iconic racing regions - like Tour of Flanders, La Doyenne, ... and others - there is so much more to explore beyond the classic routes.

In true Grelly tradition, each edition offers NEW tracks, high-lighting less-known parts of Belgium or nearby areas. Last year, for our 5th anniversary, we focussed on the Vulcan Eifel and Saar-Hunsrück region. This edition, we will start further north in Eupen and head even more East - with the shortest track reaching the Rhine river, and the longest distance taking you all the way to Sauerland.

There is no Conquest (aka the XL version) this year but riders can still choose between 3 or 4 days of adventure. We offer 5 routes starting in Eupen (Be), with distances between 315 to 670 km.

We aim for maximum unpaved enjoyment: not too technical, but certainly never dull !

Self-Supported !

Grelly '26 is not a stage race, the clock never stops.

Riders must strategically choose how much time they spend on riding, resting, and refueling each day.

Being self-supported means:

- No assistance from friends or family is allowed,

- All food, accommodation, repairs, etc., must be purchased from commercial sources,

- Drafting is only permitted between riders in duo.

Bikepacking

Comfort vs. lightweight? Your choice ! Everybody has his own strategy and each approach has its benefits.

Bivy bag with a limited amount of sleep?  Tent and a romantic campfire dinner?  Or perhaps just a spare T-shirt, shorts and a restaurant/hotel of your choice along the way?

Choose what suits you best, and enjoy your time out there. We are looking forward to hearing your story !
